The area of the front of each tile visible within its frame is in good condition consistent with age and handling, and with manufacture (including, as it does, numerous burst bubble pinholes and blisters, adhered material, and other original uneven features).

There are a few very slight and fine cracks in the glaze (giving the impression of going no deeper than the glaze) and some small losses of the glaze around edges (in some cases extending a little beyond the sight edges of frames, as visible in the catalogue photos).

(In preparing this report the tiles have not been examined out of their frames, which are enclosed to the back.)
