A FRENCH MUSICAL AUTOMATON, GIRL BLOWING BUBBLES

The bisque-head girl wearing a lovely lace and silk dress with floral-trimmed lace coiffe with blue glass paperweight inset eyes, carton torso and legs, bisque forearms, holding a metal bowl in one hand, and a bubble pipe in the other, standing upon a velvet-covered wooden plinth on four bun feet, when wound, she dips the pipe in the bowl, and then lifts it to her mouth and appears to blow bubbles, music plays throughout, the head marked 'DEPOSE / TETE JUMEAU / 2'
44cm overall height, the plinth 15.5cm wide, 15cm deep

Doll in overall good condition
Doll has ears pierced but no earrings present
Garments appear to be original, however showing some signs of aging (most notably to her shoes), the dress with various stains and some losses
Wear and losses to velvet covered base in places
Appears to function well
