A SET OF EIGHT ANTIQUE PROVINCIAL LOUIS XV-STYLE OAK AND CANED DINING CHAIRS
Late 19th–early 20th century

Of typical design with the shaped and caned backs and seats on cabriole supports, the frames moulded and carve with shell centres and foliate knees
Each 96cm high, 49cm wide, 57cm deep

Estimate $600 - $900

Sold for $1,900

Generally in very good condition consistent with age and use, with occasional light knocks to the frames.

There is a little movement in the joints of two or three of the chairs but the others remain firm and tight.

With the exception of one caned seat being a little depressed, the caning is taut and in good condition.
