A CHINESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL DRAGON VASE, BIANHU, QIANLONG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The ewer is of rounded form, with a circular mouth, short neck, and a compressed globular body, raised on a rectangular foot. The shoulders are set with a pair of gilt-bronze beast-form handles. The body is decorated with a front-facing dragon motif. The interior of the foot is engraved with a four-character mark in regular script reading Qianlong nian zhi.

Another cloisonné vase of closely comparable form is preserved in the Palace Museum, Beijing (museum no. gu00116857).

清 【乾隆年製】四字楷書刻款及本朝 掐絲琺瑯龍紋扁壺
器作圓口短頸,扁圓腹,下承長方足,肩部飾鎏金銅獸耳一對,通體飾正面龍紋。
北京故宮博物院藏有一件造型相近之掐絲琺瑯器(館藏號 gu00116857)。
