Lot 52
Property of a Private Sydney Collector
Centring a half pearl within a black enamel frame, to ornate shoulders collet-set with old mine-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 0.20 carats, mounted in 18ct gold, size K1/2, gross weight approximately 3.2 grams.
Accompanied by a box.
Estimate $500 - $800
In our opinion, the enamel is mostly intact and in good condition with scratches and nicks. The diamonds are bright and lively, probably of I to J colour and SI to pique clarity, as gauged and graded within the limitations of the cutting style and the mounting. Seed pearl of decorative quality. Engraving to inside of shank.
The mounting displays minor scratches, small dents commensurate with age and wear.
The ring is of very good workmanship with signs of wear consistent with age and use, not noticeable when worn.
Overall condition is good to very good considering its period.
