In Northern Renaissance manner, the tall back of architectural design with a moulded cornice raised on a pair of fluted pilasters above the drop-in seat in close-nailed leather, on turned and carved supports to the front with concealed casters, richly carved throughout with Renaissance Classical motifs including the pierced crest, armorial splat to the back, and the arms in the form of a fantastic creature
