Date letter M for 1765, of lobed basket shape, the interior with pierced divider, the moulded handle with foliate cresting and female mask terminals, the exterior moulded with beading, bands and stiff leaves, decorated in gilt on a bleu celeste ground, blue interlaced L's enclosing the date letter M and with the painter's mark F. to underside.

Old restoration to underside of base and foot near centre, where handle meets mask on one side, roundels on frieze overpainted, gilding refreshed in places, firing cracks to inside.
