A CHINESE EXPORT SILVER FOUR PIECE TEA SET AND AN OVAL TWIN HANDLED TRAY
Late 19th century, maker's marks T&C and T.S., late 19th century, comprising tea pot, tea caddy, sugar basin and milk jug, each of melon outline chased with panels of flowers including bamboo, prunus, chrysanthemum iris and a vacant cartouche, and having faux bamboo handles and finial; the tray engraved to the centre with iris, within a repoussé border of dragons and clouds and flanked by dragon handles.
The teapot 24cm wide, the tray 49cm across handles, total combined weight 2,300g

Overall wear including light surface scratches and tarnishing consistent with age and use, each piece testing approximately 84-90% silver with XRF machine.
