Lot 62
Of geometric design, centring a claw-set rectangular peridot, embellished by two collet-set brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 0.06 carats, mounted in 10ct gold, size N1/2, gross weight approximately 5.0 grams.
Estimate $300 - $500
In our opinion, the period is of yellowish green hue, with moderate saturation, some typical minute inclusions and some nicks to facet junctions. The diamonds are bright and lively, probably of H to I colour and SI clarity, as gauged and graded within the limitations of the cutting style and the mounting.
The mounting displays scratches commensurate with age and wear. Stones require tightening.
The ring is of good workmanship with signs of wear consistent with age and use, not noticeable when worn.
Overall condition is very good.
