Noel Crellin OAM FCA and Gwen Crellin, Sydney, gift of the artist
Thence by descent
Noel was David's accountant and financial adviser for many years, and they became close friends. Noel and his wife Gwen greatly enjoyed David and Hermia's exhibitions, as well as their warm hospitality.
Noel always described this painting as representative of the theme of reconciliation, depicting an Indigenous child being called by a white spirit and a Caucasian child being called by an Indigenous spirit. The family were told this work was framed by Barry Stern at the Paddington Gallery.
