Lot 11
The pair of six fold screens comprising a gold paper ground with polychrome decoration. One screen with three pine tree trunks, the other with three cranes amongst rocks, the latter signed 'Shuho ga' with two seals.
171.5cm H x 378cm W (each)
Estimate $8,000 - $12,000
The panel with the cranes presents in good antique condition. There are some very minor losses to the gilt surface and minor spotting, all commensurate with age and use. The panel with the tree bases is in very good order and has minor signs of wear in the form of some spotting which is very slight. Neither panel has been inspected off the wall, and the rear of each is unsighted.
