Lot 16

On the right hand side of subject's hat brim there is a tear about 1cm long and a smaller hole present in the left hand side of the brim. This has resulted in some minor pigment loss in these areas. There is some surface dirt, consistent with the age of the work. There is a build up of paint on the left hand side through the subject's hair. This work was inspected under blue light and does not show signs of restoration. The frame is plain, gold and in good condition.
