"...the Bogong moths were not always dull and drab. Indeed, long ago in the Dreamtime, one of the most beautiful of all creatures was Myee the moth...with her dazzling multi-coloured wings. She often wondered why the mountains high abover her were covered in white. Myee's curiosity was too much for her and she flew up towards the mountains. The snow soon covered her and she lay covered by the snow until Spring. As the snows melted, Myee's beautiful colours drained away...they ran into and coloured the new spring flowers of the mountains."
