First half 19th century
The moulded creamware basket by James and Raplh Clews, in the form of a rectangle with mitred corners and sloping pierced sides standing on straight rectangular foot and two twig handles. Moulding decoration is of groups of flowers and leaves.
The porcelain pot pourri modelled as a footed urn with four masks to the rim, the pierced lid with applied encrusted flowers and a flower finial.
The largest 10cm high, 27cm wide

Repairs to lid, losses to decorations. Abrasions to feet of basket.

Clews produced this type of product in creamware and drab ware. The short lived factory of James and Ralph Clews of Cobridge in Staffordshire existed from 1818 to 1834.
