A FIRST PERIOD WORCESTER BASKET TOGETHER WITH A DERBY SUGAR BOX
Mid 18th century


The Worcester basket, applied with floral sprigs, the inside painted with a spray of flowers on the base and scattered flowers and leaves around the basket weave, circa 1750
The Derby rectangular sugar box and cover with canted corners, the cover with a bud shaped finial on applied leaves, painted with floral sprays and a brown line around the edge of the cover, circa 1760

Crazing across the pieces, minor wear to paintwork. Repair and repainting to Worcester basket. Chips to sugar box lid and decoration.
