A CHINESE EXPORT WARE VASE TOGETHER WITH A WAX SEAL BOX

The small 18th century baluster vase painted in on-glaze translucent enamels with two male musicians playing at a table and three servants attending, gilded in Europe at a later date.
The round red-wax box, decorated in famille rose enamels with a bird bamboo and iris on the cover and underneath the base with plum blossom, Qing dynasty, Guangxu period (1875 - 1908).

Overall condition good. Vase has losses to gilding and minor fading of paintwork on one side. Box has minor losses to paintwork. No evidence of repairs.
